This Fennel Tincture is great after a heavy meal as the ingredients purportedly improve digestion and reduce flatulence. This tincture was recently discussed on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.
To make the Fennel Tincture
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fennel seeds
- 1 cup vodka 40%
- 1 sterilised jar
Steps:
- Grind the fennel seeds in a pestle and mortar.
- Pour into the jar using a wide necked funnel.
- Pour over the vodka and close the lid.
- Put into a dark cupboard.
- Leave to infuse for one month turning every 2-3 days.

After a month, strain through a funnel lined with muslin, or a coffee filter, into a sterilised dark dropper bottle, seal and label with name and date. This will keep for up to 3-5 years.
How to take:

Add 15 drops into a small cup of warm water.
