Jekka's round-up of 2024

Thank you to everyone who supported us in 2024, to all of you who travelled to one of our Herb Experiences, to those who purchased gifts and seeds online and everyone who bought Jekka's new book '100 Herbs to Grow'. We are a small independent family business and we treasure all the interactions we have with our customers and visitors.

At the start of a new year we have an opportunity to look back and reflect on all our accomplishments in 2024.

2024 was a year where we celebrated the sharing of knowledge and our passion for herbs with our 40th anniversary and the publication of Jekka's new book, '100 Herbs to Grow', for which Jekka gave talks at bookstores and flower shows. We hosted international group visits around Jekka's Herb Garden and provided herb workshops for both Riverstone and New Nordic. Jekka was also honoured at the start of the year by the Worshipful Company of Gardener’s with the Prince Edward Award for Excellence in Horticulture and at the end of the year by the RHS Lindley Library who are archiving Jekka's history for prosperity.

    Jekka's 100 Herbs to Grow

    Jekka's in 2025

For 2025 we are curating a range of Herb Experiences, which are currently being nurtured in Jekka's glasshouse over the winter.

We will be running a series of our Master Classes, including one new medicinal master class on Friday 16th May: Medicinal Herbs for Stress & Anxiety Master Class, with Herbalist Bee McGovern. Our first Master Class of the year is on Friday 28th March with Hannah McVicar, an Introduction to Botanical Screenprinting. See online for the full list of the Master Classes available.

In 2025, we will be hosting Jekka's Herb Days. These are specially themed events running throughout the year. Jekka, along with special guests and friends of Jekka's, will cover a range of Herb topics including medicinal, culinary and pollinating Herbs. As we start a new year, we have decided to focus our first Jekka's Herb Days on the health & well-being properties of herbs. Jekka’s Medicinal Herb Days will be held on Friday 4th April & Saturday 5th April 2025.
