Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Jekka's Medicinal Herb Days, we experienced two incredible days filled with an enthusiastic audience eager to explore the benefits of our herbs. Bee McGovern captivated us with her insightful talk on digestives, followed by Jekka who highlighted her top medicinal herbs, and we concluded the day with Jenny Chandler's culinary delights that we all savored.
Between the inspiring talks, Hannah and Claire led two enlightening Herbetum tours, sharing insights and tips on the growing and historical uses of our plants. The sun shone, making our spring gathering even more delightful and the atmosphere was electric, buzzing with conversations about the positive impact our herbs can have on our lives.
It was a joy to welcome back the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, who generously offered their expertise and support. Plus, our three lovely stalls: The Village Pottery, Shorkk & Saskia Essences, and not forgetting a delicious lunch from Chiki Monkey.
It was the perfect way to kick off our season, and we are already counting down to our next exciting event; Jekka's Open Days on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd May.
Join us for our May Open Days on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd May.
Jekka's Open Days are a wonderful opportunity to visit the farm, wander around Jekka's Herbetum and listen to a Herb Talk. We are very excited that we will be joined by Mike Palmer, aka Mike the Gardener, who will share his experience in the horticultural industry in both gardening and garden design.
Mike hosts a popular gardening podcast called 'Mike the Gardener - Gardening Podcast' which features interviews with popular gardening personalities, garden writers, designers, head gardeners, plant specialists and lots more. He also has a column in the Amateur Gardening magazine.
Unlike previous years, Jekka's Open Days tickets will be for a morning slot (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) and an afternoon slot (1 :00 pm - 4:00 pm). Each slot will contain a Herbetum tour and a Herb talk. You are welcome to purchase tickets for more than one slot and there is no separate booking for the tour or talk. For more details see the link below.
You will get to meet the plants, see how they grow and learn how to combine them to make effective remedies that is specific for you or a family member’s needs. The remedy will take the form of your own bespoke tincture blend that you will create and take away with you. |
