Newsletter: 11th August
We are great advocates and supporters of bees and all pollinators at Jekka's, as, not only do they help us produce healthy and strong plants, they also provide us with a wonderful bounty of seasonal honey and, for visitors to the farm, we are delighted to be able to sell our honey in our shop.
In Jekka's latest blog, "Gardening for Bees", read Richard Rickitt's tips and recommended plants to encourage bees into your garden. This follows the enthusiastic response we received after his talk at our July Open Days. More information can be found in Richard's new book "Bee Keeping for Gardeners", available from our online shop.
For those of you thinking about keeping your own bees, book a place on his upcoming Master Class at Jekka's, "Beekeeping for Beginners" on the 20th September 2024. You will learn what is necessary to successfully keep happy, healthy bees. |
If you fancy creating your own Garden for Bees, then some of the bees' favorite herbs are included in Jekka's seed collections, such as Birds & Bees and Biodiversity
Growing herbs for bees supports pollination, enhances biodiversity, provides natural habitats, and contributes to a healthier ecosystem. Plus you get tasty, beautiful herbs to enjoy!
